We would happily come again should the opportinity arise.Gold Dust West Carson City is a charming 3-star hotel set in a prime location in the center of Carson City. I do not know how it feels if hotel and casino are full (probably in summer), but we were very pleased with our stay. Sufficient parking at the hotel is available. The highway is close, making the hotel easy to reach. In 200 m walking distance, there are grocery stores and restaurants. The hotel has a pool (was closed during our stay due to winter). No problems with cigarette smoke in the restaurant either. You can choose from four meals of cooked breakfast. The breakfast is served in a restaurant next to the casino. The walls are not very well isolated against noise. If there are loud neighbours, it may be loud in the room. Our room was spacious, clean, had a kitchenette, a microwave, a fridge. There is no problem with cigarette smell in the hotel rooms. I was a bit concerned after reading some comments about cigarette smoke, but really, it was not a problem. The hotel is non-smoking, but in the casino, smoking is permitted. From the reception, to the left there are the hotel rooms and to right there is the casino. The hotel is part of a larger complex together with a casino and a bowling alley.
